The Coroner (1999)

This is absolutely horrible.  Emma is a lawyer who is kidnapped by a serial killer, who turns out to be the head coroner.  When she reports the kidnapping, no one believes her.  The weird thing is they don't even believe her before she accuses the coroner, who the police know.  It seems that if your town was plagued by a serial killer and a lawyer stated she was kidnapped by someone who tortured her and threatened to kill her, you'd look at it seriously.

The description of the film sounded interesting.  It said the killer can cover his tracks since he's the coroner, but that doesn't even come into play in the film. Mostly the viewer is subject to Emma being annoying, poor acting, and the coroner trying to act menacing and failing.  The only reason the coroner looks even slightly creepy is that he appears to have no eyebrows, which would make anyone look strange.

This movie is so bad, I had to fast forward through parts of it because I couldn't stand it.  The only part that was even slightly amusing is that the coroner knocks her out while she's jogging by using a blowgun.  Ridiculous!
